Message i've owned that car for 7years this coming july, i spent 3 years building my "project" and finished it to completion.

Would i do it again.........doubtful.

Glad that i did it though........yes.

Would i recommend it to others...........NO!

Enjoy the car to the point at which you wouldnt mind having her be your DD again, after that point i think you've gone too far.....that is my opinion on the matter.

That being said, here is my evolution in some pics:

bought 7/97:

started a simple plan to spend about 10k on mod parts/bodywork/paint/wheels/suspension&steering - just something around the 350'ish rwhp mark & looking good back in 10/2000:
sitting in my garage ready for process to begin

1st day at the shop

january 01 after a bunch of go fast mods, bodykit, paint, wheels, brakes, etc:

august 03 after completion of my widebody:

that was the quick couple stages of the car itself.

I'll note that i've gone through:
>4 sets of rims (chrome stock, adr enigmas, racing hart c2's, and now on my HRE 540's)
>3 sets of brakes (stock, stock sized x-drilled brembo kit, and now stoptechs)
>2 sets of turbo's (stock and then td05's)
>2 engines (stock & then Z1 built)
>3 sets of injectors (stock, nismo 555's, border 850 kit)
>2 sets of TBs (stock & then stock chromed)
>2 plenums (stock & then stock chrome)
>2 facias (WW fg & WW urethane)
>3 fuel filter types (stock, K&N, SX)
>4 powersteering res's (stock, blue painted, blue powdercoated, chrome)
>2 sets of all plastics in the engine bay
>3 steering wheels (stock, stock better condition, importsextreme custom)
>3 sets of interior plastics to try to get the best peices
>3 batteries (1 stock & 2 redtops)
>3 types of IC's (Stock, HKS SMIC's, GinnMotorsports FMIC)
>3 1/2 sets of hardpipes (stock, HKS, Greddy, AshGB)
>intake filters (stock, single JWT, dual JWT, dual Apexi)
>3 sets of DP's (stock, greddy, Greg Dupree)
>4 sets of exhuast (flowmaster, dynomax, greddy sp, labree)
>2 boost controllers (hks evc ez & then profecB)
>appox 4 nose panels (1 stock, 1 stillen 4 duct, 2 custom built)
>multiple NOS set ups & changes
the list goes on and on w/ 1000's in painted parts, chrome, roll cage, sound system, interior trim/seat kit and so on.

Here is a quick run down of my engine evolution:

this is back around february 2001:

*nothing special- hard pipes & spray painted throttle cover in ford blue

roughly may 2001:

notice redtop battery, topspeed strut bar, and hmmm chromed plenum, hose techniques blue hoses, oh and the very important high HP nismo oil cap

roughly july 2001:

*this is when i found dodge intense blue and did the throttle cover, underside of the hood, and both fuse boxes along w/ the clutch/brake caps

early aug 2001:

*get the t-belt covers, fanshroud, pwr steering res, and strut bar towers done

late august 2001:

*add N20, chrome HKS hardpipes, custom fit hood mirrors, new thermalflex blue silicon hardpipe connectors, painted pwr steering res., blue painted red top battery, painted fuel filter, hicas unit and cruise unit, and liberal usage of blue wire loom, dual intakes

june 2002:

new engine, new turbos, new painted peices, polished water pipes, chrome TB's, chrome hood prop, koyo radiator, chrome dual intake piping, chrome radiator center guide

jump foward to october 03:

figured i'd share for all those wondering how someone can spend a value of $80k on their car.

That being said.....it was interesting/fun/heartbraking/tiring/agrivating/awesome.
